(More customer reviews)I used this for my first PC build.Things went rather smooth for my first time. Only had an issue with getting the AHCI function to work proplery: once I figured out to install driver Windows 7 was stable and have had no issues at all (been about 2 months now).
On chip video works well. I have it set up with dual monitors, one using VGA and one DVI.Both look great.Has 3 fan connectors, I'm only using the CPU fan connector, the others are on the case. The included drivers/software is fairly useful to monitor systems stats. All the hookups are pretty simple and color-coded, and the manual is fairly helpful as well.
I am using a Corsair 4gb DDR3 memory kit for Intel i5 on this with no issues. I'm not gaming or anything, so I just set the memory to "optimal" settings in the bios and all works well.Ran Memtest too, no errors.I initially intalled windows on a wd 1tb SATA hd, but switched to one of my old IDE drives and use the 1tb to store all my media.
Setup:
- This MB
- AMD Athlon II x2 240
- Corsair 4gb DDR3 memory kit for Intel i5
- Win 7 x64
- Antec Sonata III w/500w earthwatts power supply
- WD 1tb caviar black
- 2 old IDE wd hd
