(More customer reviews)Having used NVG's in training and war (PVS-2/4/5/7's), I had limited expectations when purchasing this (1Gen).I was much more than pleasantly suprised when I received this and tested it for the first time.The NVMT easily outpaced my memories of the PVS-2 and bordered on the quality I was familiar with with the PVS-4/5's.Passive is quite good, but IR source light shows a dramatic difference in visibility and clarity. Rubberized coating good feature.
