(More customer reviews)This will be the fifth adaptor I've purchased or received on warranty exchange for HP Pavilion notebooks.Four HP-brand adaptors, one aftermarket.
The strain relief on both ends of the DC cable is poorly designed.The wires at the barrel of the connector that goes into the computer tend to come loose or melt the insulation.The strain relief at the body of the connector breaks or comes loose.No complaints about the AC cord or the power supply itself.
The one aftermarket supply I purchased lasted only about a month before the DC cable came apart.At least the original HP units last for a year or so.
Am puchasing two this time.When those go I'll go laptop shopping.It won't be an HP.
