I wanted to hang my TV (720p) on a wall in my living room, with all other devices kept in my media closet. I only had one cat5e cables running between the two spots, separated by about 100ft. I tried several other options before trying this one, but none of those lower-price options (less than $100) worked perfectly. For example, pictures go in and out sporadically with a cheaper extender, once every 5 minutes or so... Not acceptable at all.

I finally decided to spend more and get this atlona hdmi extender. Guess what. It worked flawlessly the moment it was connected. It is as if the TV and cable box are connected by a short HDMI cable. If you have to run hdmi signal through a single cat5e cable, do yourself a favor and get this unit. It will save a lot of time and hassle.

The unit comes with two power adapters along with sender/receiver. Installation was very easy and quick. Combined with an rf remote control extender (from Next Generation ATH-AAA), now my TV is as if it is "floating" on a wall, just by itself. Beautiful.
