(More customer reviews)The Ultimate Ears MetroFi 220vi Earphones are the best sounding earphones I have ever owned. They were very easy to fit since they come with three different sizes of ear cushions. I can hardly tell I have them in my ear. Unlike other earplugs I have tried, these do stay securely in your ear canal. The sound is incredible and rich. One major plus is that when I use it with my iPod Touch, the 3.5mm jack fits securely in and it does not pop out. I have had issues with other earphones that the jack tends to pop out slightly and I can only hear sound from one earplug.

The music sounds crystal clear and I can hear the "thump thump" of the bass. Background sounds are not totally isolated which is a good thing since I want to be aware of my surroundings.

The microphone feature is great add-on. I love using it with my record application on my iPod Touch. I just start talking into the mic and record reminders to myself. However, I wish I had an iPhone to use the hands-free feature with. I think it is such a great idea to be able to use ONE headset for your calls and listening to music. I purchased a 2.5 mm jack adapter and attempted to use it with my LG Voyager cell phone. Sadly, it did not work - but I had to try. I could hear the caller but they could not hear me. So keep in mind that the hands-free feature seems to only work with the iPhone/Blackberry as the item description states.

If I need to stop or pause the music, I love using the multifunction button. One push of the button pauses the music and all you have to do is push it again to begin listening your tunes again.

The included carrying case is nice to store your earplugs when not in use, but be careful of using it all the time because it is not made of hard plastic - the top seems like it can easily break off.

Overall, these are great sounding earplugs and I highly recommend for yourself or as a gift to anyone who constantly is listening to MP3 players or iPhone/Blackberry.
