(More customer reviews)Well like many of you out there I got a HDTV for Christmas. Then along came the Upconverting DVD player, HD DVR, and the PS3! Most HDTV's only have 1 HDMI input. How was I going to make use of all this new amazing picture quality when I can only connect 1 HDMI input at a time. So to Google I went. I came across quite a few HDMI switches. Some really expensive but I did not recognized the brands. Then I saw the PureAV by Belkin (being a Mac & iPod user I definitely recognized Belkin). So I bought it... I mean I had too what else do you do? It has 3 connection in and one out to the TV. Works exactly like it should. Has a remote and everything. Solid really small unit. Lay to packs of cards side by side and you have the size of this unit. But I am extremely happy with the unit. (Oh by the way it comes with 1 HDMI cable and as we all know those little suckers can be EXPENSIVE! All my other ones at the Philips 6ft HDMI cables from Walmart for $32.)

HDMI, or High-Definition Multimedia Interface, is fast becoming the standard among video components, and is one of the most common audio video connections available. XBox 360, PlayStation 3, Blue-ray players, gaming computers, and more now require HDMI inputs for optimal user experiences. Unfortunately, most of the older -- and many newer -- HD televisions and receivers have only one HDMI input. The PureAV HDMI 3-to-1 Video Switch allows you to connect to and switch among three high-definition, digital-video source devices through a single HDMI, or Digital Visual Interface (DVI) connection on your high-definition television or receiver. (Although there are only HDMI connections on this device, you can use the included HDMI Interface-to-DVI cable to connect and switch between DVI components.)
This convenient, compact switch offers an ideal way to connect digital displays such as HDTVs, plasma displays, DLP TVs, LCD TVs, and projectors. HDMI also provides an all-digital connection between such source devices as HDTVs, DVD players/recorders, digital cable/satellite boxes, and AV receivers. Simply select from among the devices either by pressing the input-selector button on the switch itself, or by using the included remote control to scroll to or directly select a source.
