(More customer reviews)This tuner has proven its value for me as a college student.The tuner allows you to connect a coaxial cable directly from the jack (supplied in most college dorms) to the tuner, allowing you to transform your laptop into a tv.Making this a good solution for not owning a tv.This was easy to install.Using the antenna (not cable) the tuner was able to recieve 9 local channels including abc, nbc, cbs, and fox.It is also useful for recording shows directly to the computers hard drive.I have also used it to connect my xbox 360 to the laptop(through s-video).Through quickplay the graphics weren't amazing, but lag was bearable (as long as the playback feature was disabled)...Definitely worth considering if you have access to cable, but no tv.
