(More customer reviews)A laptop was given to me and the user told me they spilled on the keyboard.I booted up and certain keys would not respond (A,S,W,D) but the rest worked perfectly.I tried cleaning the keyboard, but that was no good.I bought this keyboard and the laptop works like new.
Note:The hint for me that it was the keyboard that was bad and not the keyboard controller on the motherboard was the fact that all of the working keys were actually functioning correctly. There were just a few that weren't working at all.If your keyboard has experienced a spill and you have similar symptoms, replace the keyboard for sure. However, if you type on your keyboard and you get crazy, unexpected characters, you've likely fried a chip on your motherboard and replacing the keyboard WOULD PROBABLY NOT DO YOU ANY GOOD.Good Luck!
