(More customer reviews)My review of the unit information before purchase gave me cause for excitement: 1) I had found a reasonably priced keyboard drawer, and 2) the unit provided flexibility by allowing either an above desk or below desk installation.

On receipt and assembly, I decided to use the unit as a desktop drawer.The only problem is the rubber pads that are supposed to go under the keyboard frame were faulty.They did not have sufficient adhesion to stay stuck to the base.As a result, I have the unit sitting on top of the desk with no real protection from scratching.

While the faulty pads by themselves are not enough to rate this product as unsatisfactory, the response of Kensington to this problem was totally unsatisfactory.On requesting replacement pads, I was told that they do not have spare pads and could not ship them.I was also told that they don't sell the product any more.As a result, their problem is mine to fix -- I can either find my own pads, or disassemble the unit and ship it back.

Don't buy this unit unless you feel confident you will not need support from Kensington.They were useless in my case, and Kensington products will be at the bottom of my list in the future.
