(More customer reviews)I purchased this as an upgrade for a Dell Dimension 4600C which has only one free PCI slot, an AGP slot, and requires a low profile video card.

Two low profile brackets are conveniently supplied in the package.One of them accomodates the DVI-I 24 pin and DIM-9 pin TV-out connectors, and the other mounts the DB-15 VGA (RGB out) connector separately.Changing to a low profile configuration requires removing the standard bracket and then attaching the low-profile brackets.(There is a diagram in the user's manual, which can be viewed on Jaton's website.)

I did not use the driver on the CD provided in the package (version 84.26, 4/18/2006).Instead, I downloaded a more recent version (93.71, 11/2/2006) of the Windows XP software from Nvidia's website. (Drivers for Windows Vista are available too.)

The Dimension 4600C case has very little extra space, so I had to remove the DV-15 VGA connector from the card in order to mount it. I only needed the DVI out connector for my monitor.

The cooling fan generates some low-level noise, which is no louder than my computer's case fan and is not an annoyance to me.However, this might be an issue if you're planning to use this card in a Home Theater/Media Center PC.

I am not an avid gamer, so I cannot comment on the suitability of this card for this purpose.For what it's worth, it runs Neverwinter Nights and Knights of the Old Republic on the highest settings smoothly, and runs Celestia beautifully.

This video card offers very good performance for a reasonable price.
